The law “On Road Transport” of the Republic of Poland has been amended stipulating a significant increase in penalties for a number of violations, reports the Association of International Automobile Carriers.
In particular, a fine will be charged of 12 thousand zloty (previously - 10 thousand zloty) for international road shipping without a permit and for coastal shipping. The amount of penalty for incorrectly filled-in permits is no longer negotiated, i.e. in such cases, permission will be deemed to be absent. The amount of penalty for shipping in violation of the provisions of the international treaty or the conditions specified in the permit has been increased from 8 thousand to 12 thousand zloty.
In addition, liability is introduced for exceeding the permissible daily 10-hour driver’s working day in cases when work is at least partially carried out at night. For exceeding the permissible working time, i.e. driving time and other work, from 1 to 3 hours, a penalty of 50 złoty, for each subsequent hour - 100 złoty, will be imposed. Compliance of this regulation with the provisions of the AETR Agreement and the possibility of its application to Russian drivers need to be clarified, after which more detailed information will be provided.
Please take the aforesaid information into account when organizing shipments.
